Townsville, Queensland

With more than 320 days of sunshine each year, World Heritage-listed national parks and lush tropical gardens, Townsville is home to some spectacular natural landscapes and attractions.

The city’s attractions and activities include the stunning waterfront esplanade known as The Strand, the world-heritage tropical rainforest area of Paluma, the Wetlands, reef and estuary fishing, the Great Barrier Reef and Magnetic Island.

Townsville also boasts a growing culinary scene with quality dining options along Palmer Street, Gregory Street, City Lane and Flinders Street. Gregory Street by the Strand is also home to a popular boutique shopping and cafe precinct; and the city also offers three large shopping centres.
